This pendant is doubly dichroic. As you can see the piece is primarily red and green, but as angles change, the color can vary to blue and yellow. Variations in color are increased by vertical lines on the backside. The backside of the pendant is heavily fumed with silver, making a sort of pearl color. The glass is enclosed in hammered silver sterling by Mike Wasmer while the glass insert was made by James Monteil. The pendant is five centimeters or two inches long.
Note: Dichroic Glass had both a transmitted colour (where light passes through the glass) and a completely different reflective colour (where light reflects off the glass). Furthermore, these two colours shift depending on angle of view. With the play of light, together with its vibrant colour, Dichroic Glass makes magical jewelry.
